Physician-Vendor Agreement
The physician-vendor agreement is the contract between you and
your chosen electronic medical record (EMR) provider for the
provision of a complete EMR solution.
The contracting process may take place in two stages. Before a
site assessment you may receive a basic quote from your EMR
provider and following a site assessment you will receive a more
detailed quote that will become your physician-vendor agreement or
contract.
The quote provided by your chosen EMR provider must be reviewed
by the Physician Office System Program (POSP) to ensure it is
compliant with program guidelines. Physician who sign
contracts with quotes that have not been reviewed are risking their
reimbursement funding if the contract does not meet POSP
guidelines.
