The Physician Office System Program's focus is to enable
physicians to receive the full benefit of electronic medical
records (EMRs). The VCUR 2008 EMR solutions offer paper-charting
physicians and those on older EMRs the opportunity to realize
clinical efficiencies and improved patient care delivery.
The VCUR 2008 EMR solutions are not the same as those offered in
the past. In addition to the necessary IT components, this
comprehensive EMR solution gives physicians access to a full range
of support services including:
- Installation and maintenance support
- Help desk support and problem management
- Connectivity
- Hardware maintenance
These EMR solutions are a critical building block of the
provincial electronic health record strategy and must be fully
compatible and appropriately integrated with provincial
systems.
