Submit Your VCUR 2006 EMR Invoices

In February 2011, physicians were notified that POSP is now enforcing cut-off dates for VCUR 2006 EMR costs. Our Program Guidelines state that physicians have up to six months to submit invoices for reimbursement on VCUR 2006 electronic medical record costs. Costs incurred in November 2010 must be submitted by May 31, 2011. Costs incurred in December 2010 must be submitted by June 30, 2011.

Privacy Impact Assessments and your EMR

A valid privacy impact assessment (PIA) is a legal requirement under the Alberta Health Information Act (HIA) for Alberta physicians and as such is a requirement to receive funding from the Physician Office System Program (POSP). Maintaining a valid PIA is the responsibility of the custodian.
