Moving from your current EMR to an EMR solution
Are you thinking about moving from your current electronic
medical record (EMR) to one of the new complete EMR solutions? The
Physician Office System Program (POSP) is here to answer any
questions you have and help you make the transition.

One of the first things you should do is talk to a POSP change
management advisor. This person is a resource for your clinic and
will guide you through the process of:

Complete the forms
Once you have decided to move forward you need to enrol in the
program to access the services POSP provides.
- If your clinic uses an EMR but does not receive POSP funding,
submit an Application
Form to register your clinic with POSP. It identifies a clinic
contact and lists the physicians who are applying to join POSP.
Clinics who are already receiving POSP funding do not need to
complete this form.
- Every physician in the clinic who intends to implement an EMR
solution must complete the Direct Deposit
Information Form. It lets POSP know where to deposit the
physician's reimbursement funding.
- Each physician must also sign the POSP
Physician Participation Agreement. This agreement outlines the
obligations physicians must meet if they wish to receive
reimbursement funding and POSP support services.

solution.
POSP also provides a Transition Guide that outlines the steps
you will go through to implement your EMR solution. In each step
POSP provides information and advice about services, funding and
agreements required to move through the implementation process.
