Data Migration
When transitioning from any medical records system to a new
system, management of patient data is critical. POSP works with the
original EMR vendor and the new EMR provider to help physicians
choose the best data migration options for their practice.
In December, 56 physician data migrations took place. Since
migrations began occurring (September 2010 to December 2011), 456
data migrations have been completed. There are 101 data migrations
in progress across the province.
EMR Benefits
The Benefits Survey is sent to physicians approximately one year
after Milestone 3 (Go-Live) to evaluate the impact of VCUR 2008 EMR
implementation on the physician's practice. The November survey had
64 physician participants.
